Brinkman takes on the role of studio head at the development studio following the exit of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' underwhelming early showing last autumn.

On Wednesday, 2K president David Ismailer informed employees about this strategic move through an official communication, which stressed that early feedback sessions had shown the requirement for a clearer vision.

Ismailer stated that the team is now reimagining Project Ethos with a revised approach, aiming to address player expectations.

The news follows a comparable move taken by 2K Games in August, when they recruited an industry veteran from the Diablo team to contribute to the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
